2023 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
Quick Facts
The 2023 Wintergreen Club Championship will be played at Stoney Creek and Devils Knob on Saturday and Sunday, August 19th – 20th, 2023. Round One will be played at Stoney Creek Golf Course with a 10am Shotgun. Round Two will be played at Devils Knob Golf Course with a 10am Shotgun.
Conditions of the Competition
Eligibility
Each player must be a current Wintergreen Member with an active USGA handicap index. Handicaps will be used as of August 16th, 2023 throughout the tournament.
Format
Thirty-six hole aggregate stroke play event with both gross and net divisions.
Flights and Tees of Play
Men’s Championship Flight White Tees
Men’s Senior Flight (50-69) Gold Tees
Men’s Super-Senior Flight (70+) Gold Tees
Women’s Championship Flight Red Tees
Women’s Senior Flight (60+) Red (DK) / Green Tees (SC)
***Players may choose to play up a flight but not down. We will use 100% of handicaps for the net portion of the competition.
Tie Breaker
In the event of a tie, a sudden death playoff will commence on Hole #1 following the completion of normal competition. For Net Division Playoff, handicap strokes will be taken as they were assigned for the competition, using the players' respective stroke allocation.
Prizes
Trophies and gift certificates for the 36-hole aggregate stroke play event will be awarded to GROSS Champions in each flight. NET 1st and 2nd Place in each flight will receive gift certificates. **Payouts may vary based on size of flight**
Tournament Fees
$40 for All Resort Members as well as appropriate golf fees based on your current membership.
